One week trip to Puerto Rico - Need advise

Hi to all. I am planning to make a one week trip to PR. Need help on how to organize my stay, what places to visit, but especially, in what cities/towns/places spend the night. I've seen there are many beaches to visit but would like to have some advice on where are the best places to stay so as to cover all must see spots.
Thanks to all

Hi

Some ideas:

Use San Juan as a base for few days that way you can cover Old San Juan, El Yunque Rainforest, Bio Bay (if moon phase is right) and optional areas like Guavate (for Lechon) and Ponce in the south.

If you want great beach check out a day trip to Culebra by ferry or plane.

If you want to see the west coast consider staying around Rincon, then you could also check out areas like Isabella on the north west coast and Cabo Rojo on the south west coast.

Here are a couple of articles with day trip ideas http://www.visit-the-coqui.com/2010/...ial-day-trips/ and http://www.visit-the-coqui.com/2010/...ico-day-trips/ there is also a ton of info at that website

Hope that gets you started

Coqui, thanks for your advice. My wife and me are huge beach fans. As i am planning to stay for seven days, would you recommend me staying 3 days in Culebra and Vieques (2 days and 1, respectively would be ok?), 2 days in San Juan and 2 days in the Western Coast (using Rincon as a base)??
Thanks again

Between the two out islands I think you would enjoy Vieques more, especially if you like beaches. There are a few great ones on the island, Playa Navio, Blue Beach, and the famous "Secret Beach." On Culebra there is only one. There are more dining options in Vieques too.

In terms of time spent, you could cover Old San Juan, El Yunque and other attractions in 2-3 days. Spend the rest on Vieques, I think you and your wife will enjoy it very much.

Have fun!

Is you have the money, plan a day trip to Vieques or Culebra by plane ($120 p/p) those island have the best exotic beaches of the caribbean, Flamenco (Culebra) has been the second best beach of the world for three times.
