One night in San Juan?

My wife and I are laying over one night in San Juan on our way to Nevis. We are in early fourties and would like to stay where there are nice restaurants and we can walk around a little bit. We would like hotel recommendations and also parts of town to consider staying in. Old San Juan sounds good.

Nice dinner place recommendation as well.

Thanks.

Hotel El Convento was wonderful when we stayed there. The hotel has an enjoyable restaurant inside, El Picoteo, but I recommend Dragonfly or Aquaviva for a night out. You'll enjoy walking Old San Juan.

Thanks. I spotted that hotel - it's full and seems to require 2 nights minimum. Any other hotel suggestions?

Appreciate the help.

I'm going to Nevis in June, where are you staying? I'm staying at the FS. The last time I stayed in PR I ate at the Chart House which was excellant. Also, are you taking American Eagle direct into Nevis?

Staying at the Four Seasons (Company Trip thank you very much). I believe it's a American Eagle flight over into Nevis.

The Wall Street Journal has a short article about San Juan: http://online.wsj.com/article/0,,SB1...%5Fcoll%5Fleft

The Parrot Club (might be Parrot Inn) in Old San Juan was marvelous for dinner.
