Old San Juan hotel info Needed

We are a family of 8 needing a hotel in March for one night near the ship terminals. Wyndham Old San Juan is not available. If anyone knows of any other hotels in the same area please let me know. Thank you.

Contact the travel agent that you booked your cruise through as he/she can arrange a hotel and sometimes you will get a break because you are also cruising.

Try the Milano. Go to www.travelandsports.com for hotel listings

I booked my cruise through a travel agent. She was useless in helping me find post cruise accomdations for 2 nights. She told me to look on my own. I can tell you to look on where2stay.com and tripadvisor.com. Many places, will come up. My budget was not to spend $$$ a night. Many smaller inns and Paradors will come up with reviews. I am still undecided myself. There are many available I am sure. Another problem is some want a 3 night minimum. I have also encountered that problem.

Try El Convento. Gorgeous, landmark building smack in the middle of Old San Juan.

www.elconvento.com

Helen, I know you asked for info on a hotel in Old San Juan, but have you considered the Condado Plaza, another Wyndham five star hotel. Its about a ten minute taxi ride from Old San Juan and the ship terminal there. Keep in mind that if you are on a Princess cruise, you don't use the Old San Juan terminal - you are further south and closer to the Condado area.

Anyway, we stayed at the Condado Plaza in November and got a room thru Priceline for $65 a night. Their normal rates are in the $250-300 range.

If you're interested, go to biddingfortravel.com and look thru the Puerto Rico information for how to get this "resort" class hotel.
