Nobody has mentioned the Alleggro...why?

We are going to Aruba inn September 2001, for our honeymoon. I have heard a lot of good things about the Allegro. The only bad thing is that they only have 2 nice resturants. There for we are not sure if we should take the all inclusive or not.

We are on somewhat of a budget, we love to eat, and drink, and have fun. We also don't want to stay in a dump, and not be treated nice. We want this to be a luxury vacation, so we are probably going to stay in a high rise.

We have heard that the Hyatt is the best, but probably cannot quite swing that.

Any help would be really apreciated!!!!

The Allegro is a good choice but not the same luxury as the Hyatt or the new Radisson. Nice pool area, good location as it is centrally located on Palm Beach. Here's a website for an agency that has good rates and service and specializes in Aruba www.travelunlimited.com

have you checked out the aruba bullettin board www.aruba-bb.com ? It is by far the best travel bb I have encountered. It can answer all of your questions about aruba. you can also access tons of trip reports many from allegro. We atayed at the Hyatt for our Honeymoon and would not go any place else.. I too thought it would be too much a price difference but when you really look at all the prices and taxes it is not that much more.. email me if you have any questions... hope this helps

We stayed at the allegro in cozumel and the food was bland and on the boring side, if you local food. I don't know if all their resourts are the same but if you love to eat plan on eating away from the hotel.

We stayed at the Allegro resort in Aurba last year. I did not like it. The food was not very good at all and the service was poor. We spent almost every night at the Hyatt. The resort is nice looking and the beach/pool area is well kept.!!

Just got back from the Allegro 2 days ago. Pool area was nicest in the area. crowd was more alive than the other resorts. We did not do all inclusive because we did not think it included the bar, but it does and we would have if we had known. You should too if you drink a little. The breakfast buffet was good enough for us that we did not go anywhere else. Room was adequate but we did not spend much time there. if you have more ?'s, just ask.
