Negril restaurants?
Hello
I'm going to negril in 2 weeks with my boyfriend and it is also my birthday so I wanted to spend at least my birthday night out at a great restaurant. Can anyone make any reccomendations for this special day? I am staying in the cliffs area (rockhouse). Thanks for your help! Much appreciated.

The Rockhouse has an excellent restaurant....my wife loves their coconut chicken breast. IMHO....best restaurant in Negril is Norma's at Seasplash on Negril Beach. Wonderful food and the best service we have encountered in Negril! Location is right on the water...literally steps from the water's edge! Have a great trip to Negril!

I saw a recent thread on this at the negril.com message board. Try here for some ideas. www.negril.com/config.pl?read=107041
Have a great time! We ate at 3 Dives for our special dinner. It wasn't a fancy place but the grilled lobster was great & the sunset from the cliff was amazing. Price was right too- $20 for a lobster dinner (2 whole lobsters).

I second Norma's at Seasplash.... in fact I stay at Seasplash whenever in the area.... you'll hardly find a tourist there, mostly full of people up from town (Kingston) for the weekend... very friendly, excellent food, service a little slow, but you shouldn't be in a hurry on vacation anyway

Norma's has a very good reputation, I haven't been. Kuyaba is in a great setting - ask for the table up high over the beach - but hte food wasn't as wonderful as I'd remembered the last couple of times we ate there.
On the cliffs I hear very good things about the Lighthouse Inn for a fancy/good meal. LTU Pub is very nice as well, great food.
I also love 3 Dives - in fact my son had his 10th birthday party there this spring - but it's not fancy by any stretch of the imagination.
