Negril

What is the best restaurant in Negril? I will be celebrating an anniversary and need a very special place- great food, great atmosphere. Cost is not an issue. Thanks.

Just returned from Negril. 20th anniversary. KAYUBA it's on 7mile beach, #1
Rick's Cafe on the cliffs #2

and just for fun.... "3 dives" and
"my fathers house" near Samsara Resort. Inexpensive and great food and locals! Tell them Ron and Patty from Pennsylvania sent you.

Try the restaurant at Xtabi on the cliffs. Very romantic if you get a table on the cliff overlooking the sea by candlelight. Food is great too...enjoyed the lobster alfredo. Tell them Deb and Jerry sent you.

I would recommend the Rockhouse restuarant.

Just got back from Negril...stayed at Seasplash on the beach....recommended for a relaxing beach break... their restaurant "Norma's" is right on the beach with a great atmosphere.

Also recommend Xtabi... as for Rick's... too commercial, too busy, too high priced....very "spring break" if that is your kind of thing

Anyway, Negril is relaxed, but IMHO they use that as an excuse to drop standards..... was glad to be back home this week walking the property and seeing how it should be done

Also recommend Norma's -- she's one of the best-known cooks on island, with previous restaurants at Old Wharf in Reading/MoBay, Kingston and in FLA-NYC.
3 Dives is a laid-back no frills favorite of many. Rick's is tourist town scene and good for a drink at best and watching the cliff divers. Try also Cafe Culloden, 40 min away in Whitehouse.

LTU Pub (not at all like a Pub, it's outdoor cliffside dining, candles, very nice and good food). Rockhouse is nice too. Both on the cliffs.
