Need to make decision ASAP
2 to 3 women trying to decide where to go on a much needed vacation by the end of May. I want to go somewhere where I haven't already been. I traveled to Nassau (1), Cancun (3), Jamaica (1), Aruba (2), St. Thomas/St. John (1) and Bermuda (1). My favorite islands were St. Thomas and Bermuda. Mainly because of the beauty and the friendliness of the island people. We are strongly considering St. Lucia during the Jazz Festival. Like to have a variety of things to do without having to plan everything. Saw message boads recommendations for Barbados and St. Maarten and would consider those but I am also on a budget. St. Lucia can also be expensive but I'm considering Cara Suites or Bay Gardens Hotel style accomodations. Any feedback would be appreciated. I want to go someplace beautiful and I don't want to be bored. Which of the following islands would you recommend: Barbados, Dominican Republic, St. Croix, St. Lucia or St. Maarten?

Try the D.R....best value for you $... check out. www.debbiesdominicantravel.com. Just got back from Sunscape and found it wonderful. Yes, I love Bermuda, but very, very expensive isn't it. Have been to St. Thomas and wasn't impressed and Aruba very expensive and Americanized.. We are great D.R. fans.. We were at Sunscape in Punta Cana...found several groups of women who were chilling out there...there was an active disco and piano bar at night.. For my review please write [email protected]

My sister traveled to DR - could not get over how much she got for the price. She love the beaches but did not liek going off the resort which I have heard alot - people just did not feel all that safe or that there was rally alot to see.

We loved St. Lucia - it is so lush and tropical; Pitons are just amazing to see as is Rodney Bay, Marigot Bay - so beautiful. Sand is dark there but water ws very calm and clear so great for water sports. WE just loved it for its natural beauty.
