need t&c boat charter info fast!

i know a lot of you have used Silver Deep for boat trips while on t&c. Do any of you know much about J&B tours? We're doing a private boat charter and J&B is offering a 10% discount if we book in advance. Any feedback on J&B much appreciated. We leave in 2 days so need to book fast!! Thanks...

i have heard nothing bad about j&b. have not used them though.
i can, however, strongly recommend www.provoturtledivers.com art pickering's company is the oldest on the island and they are extremely nice and very efficient, and have a great boat - chucks honey (hmm i see they have just added another boat chucks mate)
i assume this is a diving excursion. if it is you may wish to book according to where you want to dive and find a company going there that day.
i understand the appeal of booking ahead BUT if it is windy and you don't want to go on that day and the charter doesn't cancel you could end up on a lousy excursion or out a pile of $$. there is currently a storm forming which will go south of provo but the sea may get pretty rough. at the very least this can make entering and leaving the water quite difficult...

We went on a small group (6) snorkel trip with J&B and they were fine - nice people to deal with.

If you're talking about scuba, I don't know anything about their expertise in that area.

Karen, I was going to book a snorkel trip with sail provo(anyone have comments on sail provo???) but now that there is a storm out there I do not want to book it ahead. I think I may wait until I get there on Friday afternoon. I was considering silver deep after looking at the website but it does not look like they do a sunset cruise.
TS Dennis does not appear that it is going to hit t&c but we still could feel some effects????
Hey all you t & c experts i see that some weather websites say rain showers, t-showers-is it safe to assume that they do not last all day??? Thanks!!

Have used J&B for snorkel trips and they are very good. Son and wife did a trip on Silver deep and were not impressed. Sunset sail on Sail Provo is very nice. Looks like Dennis is heading toward the Gulf of Mexico so shouldn't be much impact on Provo

In addition to our J&B trip we did two excursions on Sail Provo: a half-day sail which included the obligatory stop at "Iguana Island" and snorkeling at the barrier reef; and the glow worm trip, available only at certain times of the month, which was a combination of sunset sail and glow worm viewing.

We loved Sail Provo and my wife, who often gets seasick, was fine on their big catamaran.

I seriously doubt you'll have problems booking these excursions on short notice. When we were there in early Dec. (admittedly a slow time), half the excursions didn't even happen, due to lack of customers.

thanks VERY much for all the responses. I think we'll wait until we get to Provo to book our trip. And it sounds like i'll wait until next week (monday or tuesday) to schedule, hoping that Dennis and any potential rough seas are long gone by then!
