Need info on Radisson Cable Beach/Bahamas
Has anyone been to Radisson Cable Beach lately, Is it still ok,or run down? I'm reading mixed reviews. It looks like it would suit our needs as a family. 2 kids 12 & 8 pool and beach close together ,all inclusive makes it easy. Thanks

Not sure about the rooms, but the grounds (pools, gardens, ets) are still gorgeous. We own a condo 3 blocks from there and go the the Radisson and next door to the Marriott daily (the Mariott has a waterslide). Your kids will love the pools and waterfalls, and you and your husband will love the romantic views, and swim-up bar!
The public rooms - lobby, restaurants etc are also lovely and well-maintained.
Going all-inclusinve may be best as the food prices are pretty steep! Try to go to Johnny Canoe's for Junkanoo night!
ENJOY!!!

Laurie,
Junkanoo happens on Friday nites at this time of year. In other seasons, it's more than one nite a week. The junkanoo band appears several times during the evening starting at 7:30pm to about 10:30pm. Johnny Canoes has a local band which usually plays Thursdays thru Saturdays, but check witht the restaurant as the schedule may change. I'll be at Johnny Canoes that same Friday, I have plans to meet some people there. Have Fun

Stayed there last spring break 2001 with my family. Kids were 10 & 15. Rooms were better than most resort hotels. Corridors need a bit of work. Balance of the resort was great. Beach was excellent but the water was cold; however, the pools were great. Restaurants were good but as typical of the islands, service was average. Watch out for the vendors o the beach near edge of the propertty. They are pricy.

You can walk to the casino at the Marriott without leaving the covered walkway.

Expect long waits at the restaurants off the resort property. At Johnny Canoes it was about 1hour and 45 minutes
