Need Info. on Anguilla + St. Martin

I 'm leaving for a last minute trip to Anguilla on Wed. Nov. 7. Will be there for 12 days. I' d be most grateful to receive info on: 1. Things worth seeing/doing in Anguilla any cheap but good restaurants?. 2. Possibility of taking day trips to nearby islands? 3. Any nice but moderately priced hotel or B&B for a couple of nights in Saint Martin? Thanks / Grazie, Pier-Mauro Mazzadi, Florence, Italy

I'll share only if you promise to leave some sand and sun for me who will be right behind you! Go to www.caribbean-on-line.com and click on the Anguilla board. Loads of good info there and good people too! Also Bob Green has a wonderful site all about Anguilla. http://news.ai/index.html
Most people want to do the Scilly Cay on a "party day" where you have your own little island and barbqued lobsters and fun. Not cheap tho (about $50 pp!). I planned to ferry to St. Barth's (altho some say flying is quicker) for a day but the beaches on Anguilla were too hard to leave last time. This time I might do it! E's Oven and Tasty's comes to mind for good eating but my favorite "high end" spot was Straw Hat. Try that board at caribbean-on-line!

Shoel Bay was my favorite. Went back there twice. Serenity Restaurant near Shoal Bay has great food. Medium pricing and beautiful view.
Try a side trip to St Barts. St Martin is very commercial.

Ok, Other than stupid comments like "St. martin is very commerical" Ill give you what you asked for.
If you take a trip to St. Martin, which you should, there are many things to do. It has some of the best duty free shopping in both capitals. Marigot is like France! Thats where you will arrive. Also, there are some very fun beaches with good food shacks, like Grand case and of course Orient beach. If you go on the dutch side, you may see a KFC, WOW......

Pier-Mauro,
My husband and I went to Anquilla a few years back..the best part was we went out on a sail boat...katamoran,(however you spell it) for the day..it was incredible. They headed to some caves to snorkel near, had lunch on board etc..great experience.
