mymoosie's Nassau Trip Report March 2007

Finally got my trip report done.
www.mymoosie.net

The report focuses on the "other side of Nassau", not the usual Cable Beach, nor Paradise Island topic.

Hope it inspires someone to visit the island. Any questions, I'd be glad to answer with my limited knowledge.

Special Thank You to those of you who gave me tips when I was researching.

Happy reading!

I just love your trip reports. As usual, it's another wonderful one. Your B&B looks really cute. Compass Point, oh my, very colorful.
The excursion looks fantastic. The food, especially the plantains, made me hungry.
I sent your link to my husband.
Thank you!!

Nice report! The hotel looked interesting, and I liked your photos (and I looked at the Nevis ones again). You make a good case for visiting the "other side of Nassau.

The snorkel trip sounded great. All in all a good quick getaway.

Thanks.

Now I wish we'd done the snorkel trip...great photos!
I liked Nassau (we stayed at Orange Hill) and enjoyed the beaches but the kids were definitely on an island vibe and were to lazy to snorkel so we skipped the excursion. I think I'll have to go back...

Great report -- it's cool that you were able to make the most of Nassau/New Providence for a short getaway. I have no love for Nassau myself (I'm an Out Island girl!), but it's good to know that with a little effort and research, you can find for yourself the kind of experience you seek. (I did just that last month in traveling to SXM, which has also not been one of my favorite places, but we made it work.)

Another fantastic trip report. I really admire the way the photos have the place of prominence in your report, with just enough text to give them meaning.
If I had more than a dial-up modem, I would try to emulate you in my own trip reports, which tend to be far too wordy!

Looks like the snorkeling was pretty good on your trip, which makes me think I should keep an eye on BDL-NAS roundtrip deals.

Thanks again!

Thanks everyone for the nice compliments.

Callaloo - I didn't think we would love Nassau either but it worked out well. We've always wanted to go to the Out Islands one day. That would definitely be a longer stay. I'll have to find your SXM report as that is an island that is not really at the top of our list but maybe there is something that we might enjoy there.
