Has anyone recently stayed here. I understand construction is going on around the resort. How bothersome is it. Looking to stay here in April 2007. Comments appreciated.

What was the name of the resort or hotel that you were referring to? Several of the resorts currently have construction projects going on.

We are leaving in the morning 15 August 2006 for STT and getting married on 17 August 2006. We are staying at the Marriott Frenchmans Reef/Morningstar Resort. I do know that there is a little construction going on at this hotel. Mainly at the main portion of the hotel. The Morningstar section is a lot nicer and quieter.

We stayed there in Jan and just this past Aug(5-12). Had units 22, 25 and 28.

The construction is definately underway on both sides. The difference between the two trips was that the old Beachcomber is now being worked on. They are at the intial stages so it's not as bad as I expect it to be. Reality was they started work at 7:30am and you can hear it inside the condo. It wasn't horrible, just a bit annoying. However at times, the noise from guests was louder There appeared to be plenty of happy visitors staying at the Meridian during both trips. I think anymore, the construction noise at various locations on SMB has come to be expected.
