Was there a few yrs ago.AWESOME..get a cab, and he will even pick u up at a prearranged time , cheap. We were also on a cruise, and arranged ourselves. There is a bar on beach, and washrooms, like a national park(small).
You will NEVER forget this beach! We went around 1200, it got crowded at 2.
Wish i was going with you,(sigh)

Magen's Bay is gorgeous. Very quiet and worth the cab fare. You also need to visit Top of the Mountain while on that side of the island.

Have a wonderful time!!!

We were at Megan's Bay two years ago in Feb. and thought it was way overrated!! The day we were there it was very crowded with alot of cruise ship people. I don't remember if there were any water sports (we weren't looking for that) but there was at least one restaurant/bar on the beach.

Go early, It gets very crowded as the day goes on. You can get food and drinks there. You can also rent chairs and floats.

go to www.virtualstthomas.com/ and click on "beaches" at the top ... you will see a good pix of Magen's. Maybe check the cruise ship schedule and go on a day when there are fewer ships in ... Wednesday is Dizzy Day and the Disney ship is there as well as lots of others!
