Raffles got hit hard by Hurricane Ivan, I think. I would ask lots of questions to be sure there isn't construction going on when you go (if you choose it.) www.stormcarib.com would be a good resource for information. I haven't been to either but both look fabulous. Best wishes!

I went to Parrot Cay for my honeymoon and it was great - very private, romantic and relaxing. If you're looking for a Club Med or Sandals atmosphere - don't go there.

I do not believe Raffles Canouan is quite ready and don't know if it ever will be!
Friends that went to Parrot Cay - said not much to do & see and any activities are extremely expensive.
A few outstanding resorts to consider:
Jumby Bay Antigua
Four Seasons Great Exuma
Carenage Bay Antigua
Temenos, Anguilla
The Beach House, Barbuda
One and Only Pamilla, Los Cabos Mexico
Esperenza, Los Cabos
Good luck!

We were at the Raffles for Ivan and went back again for the official grand opening this past weekend (Nov. 20 Party at the resort). I can report back that the place is completely back. When we were originally there in Aug-Sept, there were a slew of honeymooners, none of whom were disappointed and all of whom were wide-eyed at the uniqueness of the place. The web-site doesn't do it justice (yet).
The level of privacy and intimacy you can have at Raffles Canouan has few rivals in the Caribbean. I have never been to Parrot Cay-- but for reference, I would have trouble choosing between The Raffles Canouan and my personal faves worldwide-- Amanpuri in Thailand Amanpulo in the Philippines and the Hotel Bora Bora. If you are familiar with those properties, then you know what I'm talking about.
While there is plenty to do in and around Canouan, the Resort itself is on such a grand scale you would have you may find yourself never leaving save for snorkleling trips or sailboat trips out to the Tobago Cays.
