Thanks for getting back to me about the Gems of Barbados hotel however, I already made my reservations for the Silver Rock. Am I in for a horrible time? It said it was only a ride away to St Lawrence Gap and the reviews I saw were good...

Re: Silver Rock -- we were at the beach in that area and it is rough -- windsurfing type conditions. It's kind of out of the way from everything. If you have no car, you will need to rely on taxi's. It's probably a 15 minute drive to The Gap (depending upon traffic).
If you cannot change your reservation, please write me directly upon your return and tell me how you made out.

Since you are so far out of the way, a car would definitely be a big help. That way you could explore all over on your own. Depending upon a shuttle or bus may not be to practical where Silver Sands is.
