Leaving next week!!!

My family and I are going to Grand Cayman and staying at the Westin (heard only good things about this hotel). I'm trying to find out what's new. Is the Barefoot Man Band playing anywhere next week? Any other entertainment I should know about?
Did anyone have a hard time driving on the left?
I'm planning on taking mostly traveler's cheques. Are they readily accepted?
Thanks for your help!

Westin is good. Barefoot man has moved on I think...not sure where. Other entertainment? Rent a jeep (a hoot to drive on the left) and take the kids to see the turtle farm...other than the farm and the great snorkling (do the wall at Stingray City) there's not much else to do. Travelers checks are fine...just make sure you take enough of them. Dinners will be expensive. Have fun!

I have heard (from previous posts) that the Barefoot Man is playing at the Rum Point Restaurant on Friday nights and Mondays (i'm not too sure about Mondays but I have heard Fridays for sure). I thing you'd be wise to make a reservation for dinner to hear him. Also, I have heard the Rum Point restaurant can be expensive but also a nice night out. If you don't have a car take the ferry over to Rum Point which leaves from the Hyatt dock.

Have a great time.... I'm going in December and can hardly wait.

Lori

Rachael,

I can guarantee you will have a wonderful time if you are staying at the Westin! Top of the line everything. I hope you get to see the Barefoot Man, however, I understand he will may be on vacation. I agree with other posters, go to the turtle farm, visit rum point and by all means snorkel. There are so many great places along seven mile beach to do that. Hope you have fun, we're going again in November!
