Ladera Resort
Any impressions from anyone who has actually been to Ladera? Which type of room did you stay? Was the food good? How private are the rooms? How nice were the personal pools? How was it to sleep in a room with a "wall" to the open air?

Hi HuwMorgan,
Ladera is excellent. If you think you may like it, you will more then love it! I do recommend the One bedroom deluxe with heated plunge pool as a must do if you have interest in useing the plunge pool. The indoor small plunge pools can be a bit chilly for most people. The rooms are very private.. they are attached though, as I did wonder when we first arrived if you could hear one room next to the other, never seemed to be a problem, I guess I never thought about it again, you really feel like its your own piece of paridise. If you would like to e-mail me I can send a mini report i did.

Hi
My husband and I spent our honeymoon at Ladera in June of 2000. to us it was the most romantic place in the world and we had a fabulous honeymoon there. I wrote a detailed trip report which can be found at www.seashelltravel.com as well as lots of pictures of Ladera and St. Lucia.
We stayed in a deluxe 1 bedroom because we wanted two walss missing. Our room was "Suite R" Each room is unique and no two are alike. Teh food at Dasheene was as wonderful as the views form the restaurant. We did not hear the honeymooners in teh room next to our. We did turn on the waterfall in our plunge pool at night just in case. Ladera is so peacful I can't imagine anyone making nose and as children area rarity they are not a noise factor.
We love our plunge pool as you will see when you look at the picture of me in ours
We specifically wanted Ladera because it did not have a wall and was open to full views of the Caribbean with the Pitons on each side and being 1000 ft up the views were awesome to say the least.
If after you look at the picturess or have any questions just eamil me [email protected]

We honeymooned at Ladera in Dec 1999. We stayed at Sandals for 6 nights and Ladera for 3 nights. It was beautiful and relaxing. Our room was very nice with 2 floors. We had a small plunge pool that was outside, just 2 steps down from our living room. The only complaint we had was all the lizards in the rooms. One night getting ready for dinner, I was in at the bathroom mirror and a huge lizard/gecko ? was on the wall right next to me eating all the bugs that flocked to the lightbulbs near the mirror! At night you also have to sleep with mosquito netting on your bed. Otherwise we loved it! Beautiful pool and grounds too!

Dear Mrs. Barnes,
Thank you for giving access to your photos of Ladera. It looks wonderful. I might add that you appear very pretty with a lovely figure. However, when turning on your waterfall, were you trying to keep sounds from without your suite from being heard or were you trying to keep sounds from within your suite from being heard? As all the suites are missing a wall, can people on the outside peer inside your room and view the goings-on in the room?
