This is one spot thats hard to find information. On the way to Antigua, flying near Barbuda the shore line beaches look wonderful. We did meet 2 couples at Jumby who had been to the island. One couple years ago, who ended up buying on Jumby, and another couple who combined Coccopoint (much like a camp, small rooms, etc.) and Jumby Bay. They said the island was very nice, wonderful beaches, and not much else. Its now on luxurylink. I would recommend combining the two, as Jumby is near the airport! Good luck in your search!

Never been to Barbuda, but this place rates highly in Ian Keown's "Caribbean Hideaways" and also in Houghton Mifflin's "Best Places to Stay in the Caribbean."

According to them, it's a place of Italian style and sophistication, but with Barbuda's laid-back charms. Apparently Krizia (hence, the K in K-Club), the fashion designer, used to vacation at CocoPoint (also on Barbuda). However, she and her guests thought that the Americans who ran it and frequented it were a little too conservative, so she bought some land on Barbuda and created her own brand of getaway.

Bring money, lots. To get r.o.i./return on your investment, go during Christmas season only when Mariuccia is generally in residence. Coco Point is the only other major resort on island -- but it's style is pure G Bush Sr/Cheeca Lodge/upscale playing downscale -- while the reverse is true at KClub. That said, the island has probably the finest beaches in the Caribbean -- and few tourists.

The style is Euro and distinctly minimalist Italian. Krizia's the label--Mariuccia Mandrelli, the designer, who with her husband, own the place. They literally built it after being barred from Coco Point as being too chic and casual fun-loving for the Fortune 500 fishermen/so it's the very anthithesis of George and Barbara and clan. And thank god for that. Pricey but def.worth it during Christmas holiday season.
