Hi,
We are leaving for Sans Souci in one day. Can you recommend any tours? I am wondering about the Dunns River Cruise and Sunset Cruises. Do you know what credit cards are accepted by the tour company? What building is best for our room? Any other input or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Sandy, Lucky for you! You'll have a wonderful time. As for day trips, we really only ventured into Ocho Rios for shopping (this was our third trip to Jamaica and preferred to relax at resort). Anyway, Dunns River Falls is a must - the trip takes about 2-3 hours and is well worth it. Shopping in Ocho rios is okay - make sure the bus driver takes you to the Main Market (not the smaller one) as it's the best.
Resort Recommendations: Upon check-in, try for block A or B as they are the nicest. We were in Room D-2 which was disappointing (except for the great view of beach/carribbean ocean). Blocks C-G require alot of walking up and down steps to get anywhere. Our room had problems with humidity as AC did not work properly. Water did not run from faucet in Jacuzzi tub - we had to fill the tub from the shower head! Take a large bar of soap - they only provide miniature bars. Food at the resort is the best we've tried! Book dinner at Casanova's immediately as it fills up quickly. Try the Torneados Casanova (filet mignon) as it is wonderful. Other excellent meals are St. Anns chicken, Pan Sauteed fish of the day (happened to be sea bass and excellent). Try the warm souffle cake, three layer chocolate dessert, and the custard - all excellent. At the Italian restaurant (reservations required) ask for outdoor seating since entertain includes three string players. We had the salmon, chicken dish, filet mignon/marinara sauce, veal scalloppini - all EXCELLENT. Breakfast is served buffet style at Italian restaurant - bountiful! Lunch is great too! Visit the balloon bar and see Ralston, Easton, and Patrick. Please tell them we (George and Valerie) say hello - they are great guys and alot of fun. Attend the Grand Gala on Friday night - it's alot of fun. Entertainment is top notch. Social directors are Dean, Tanish, Dahima, Marsha, and Marvin - all very vivacious. Go to the C/O beach - it is prettier and somewhat quieter. Get there by 9:00am in order to get an "umbrella" (sun gets very hot). No pressure to bathe in the nude there. We sun bathed on the c/o beach everyday. There's also a bar/grill there too. Have a great time - wish we were going back tomorrow! Valerie
