Just back from Four Seasons Nevis
we had an amazing time! the service and accomodations were unbelievable. we debated quite a bit about whether to get the meal plan or not. we ended up doing it and it worked really well for us. dinner was $210 one night without alcohol. lunches ran us around $50-$80. its nice if you want to try different things like appetizers and dessert. the spa was my favorite part- it completed the trip for us. feel free to email me with any questions. or you can view my trip report under the hotel section.

We are heading out there in a couple of weeks, any info would be helpful. Were there alot of kids there?(for us this would be a positive). Anything we should do off property. We have also opted for the meal plan, I think it makes sense(especially when travelling with kids). Did you snorkel or dive at all? Any offsite excursions?
Any hints would be great.

There were a lot of kids there, (it was over july 4th) but they were not bothersome. there is a separate pool for kids. we did the half day catamaran snorkeling cruise and that was a blast. snorkeling wasn't as good as some other places in the caribbean, but was still enjoyable. i recommend that highly. but sign up when you get there- they fill up fast!
we had a bed and breakfast package, and added lunch and dinner for $85 per person/per day. meals were very pricey, so it worked well for us. we debated and debated whether to do the meal plan. when we got to hotel and saw menu prices, we went for it.
other tip: absolutely do a spa treatment! it was amazing!

I stayed at the Four Seasons Nevis for a week in February 2002. It was amazing. In response to Ellene's question about activities like snorkeling and offsite excursions...
The hotel provides plenty of things to do during the day. They have half day and full day snorkeling trips on a catamaran led by a lovely crew. We became friends with them after our second trip on the boat. It was a blast, and although not as amazing as other places, the snorkeling was far from bad. Also, the four others traveling with me and I went on a private guided tour of the island on kayaks. That was amazing as well, I think that the tours are called turtle tours? The guide made us an authentic nevisian lunch of roasted coconuts. We also took a hike up the volcano which basically is the island, from a machete carrying guy from town. And, even if you stay in the resort the whole time there is still plenty to do when you have numerous pools, a beach, and a gameroom! But I do recommend venturing down the beach where you'll find some good restaurants and LOTS of wild animals. Have fun on your trip.

we took the ferry from st. kitts. from the airport, it was about a 5-10 minute ride to the boat docks, then the boat took about 25 minutes to get to the four seasons. next time, i will fly right to nevis to save the time. it wasn't bad, but we were so anxious to get there. plus you will save money on transfers.
