Just Back From Aruba
I just got back from my first trip to Aruba, and I
can't say enough about it! What a wonderful island
it is. The weather, people, shopping, everything was just terrific. I stayed at the Holiday Inn on their new all-inclusive plan and would recommend it, as the price is probably the best on the island. They do have a few wrinkles to iron out in the program but the staff seemed to take our suggestions to heart and I am sure that they will improve the program over the next few weeks.

Heather -- Make sure you check out the Aruba bulletin board at http://www.arubatourism.com/aruba-bb.html. There are lots of suggestions posted there about things to do and places to eat. I'm going in April and have gotten lots of good ideas from the bulletin board.

Restaurants: Our two favorites are The Ruins at Hyatt and El Gauchos. Activities: Plenty of gambling if you're into that. Suggest trying the independents rather than those connected to hotels -- Royal Cabanna is one of the better, in my opinion. Also nice golf course owned by Hyatt. Wind makes it tricky to play, but still lots of fun. Try Baby Beach on East side of Island for snorkeling. Need to go beyond reef for best scenery. No trip to Aruba is complete w/o a jeep trip around the Island. Very rough in places, so be prepared.
