Is Sandals worth the money?

My fiance and I are going to Sandals Montego Bay in late September for our honeymoon and are curious. We've been to 3 all inclusive resorts before(Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort in Punta cana, Hotel Trypp in Cayo Coco, and Playa Naco in Puerto Plata)we thought all 3 were great. Is Sandals really worth all that extra money or will we be disappointed?

I was extremely disappointed in what we got for the money at Sandals. Food was bad, service indifferent. I have been to several all-inclusives (some more expensive than Sandals, some less expensive) that were much better values.

Charlene, sometimes no matter what kind of resort it is some people will not be
satisfied, personally we are definately
Sandals people and will be returning to Sandals every year. The food was great and so was the service and the people we meet at the resort were awsome, still
see some of them and chat on the web with some.

My wife and I have been to Sandals Negril each of the last two years. It is wonderful and worth every penny you will spend.
My husband and I stayed at Sandals Royal Bahamian last year in November. Spent $6,000. It was terrible! Food lacked any kind of imagination. Service was lousy. Response by staff was indifferent even when I spoke directly to the General Manager. Never again!!!

Stayed at Sandals Negril 6/97 for honeymoon and was very pleased. The road to Negril was a trill, van driver gave us tips & Jamacian general info. The resort was beautiful & clean. Food was awsome, 4 very good rest. to choose from. Breakfast buffet was huge with fresh fruit, made to order omelets. Beach grill reopened at 11 PM for a great late snack of jerk chicken & fries. Plenty of bars with very friendly bartenders. Staff was great , particapating in many activties. Beach was wide & uncrowded. Hedonism right next door ( you can hear them at night getting WILD but they shutdown around 10) You can visit them & their nude beach! After dinner got a little boring ( disco was'nt much) plenty of bars to visit off grounds( with free shuttle) but we did'nt know till late in week. Would go to Sandals again in a heartbeat but would visit another one.

My husband and I just got back from our one week honeymoon at Royal Caribbean. We had the best time. The food, service and atmosphere were great. We are already planning our next trip there. We were originally booked at MoBay but they offered us an upgrade to Royal Caribbean as they were overbooked. I would say it is definitely worth the money. Any questions, feel free to e-mail me. Best of luck to both of you.
