Is Anguilla too quiet?

Help I am trying to decide which resort and which island to go to in August with my family. I have 3 sons ages 17,22and 25. I was originally thinking of going to Cap Juluca but would Mal(sp} be better with the boys Does Anguilla have any nighlife? I am also thinking about the Four Seasons in Nevis or CoralReef or Glitter BAY in Barbados. Im also thinking about the ocaon front suites at the Hyatt in the Caymans

Anguilla has some beach bars with live music (no casinos or clubs) & you have to drive to them; carnival happens at some point in August but there is not a whole lot to do for young, active guys (lots of honeymooners at Cap). Haven't been to the Caymans but my friends who have report that it's a WHOLE lot livelier than Anguilla (which is why I don't go -- something for everyone in the Caribbean).

I have only been to Anguilla once, but thought there was considerably more nightlife than in GC,(Johnno's, Dune for 2) which I have been to twice. In GC I swear the rolled up the sidewalks at 5 o"clock.

Don't forget, in Anguilla the nightlife of Marigot is only a short ferry ride away.

But you can't get back -- the last ferry from Marigot runs at 7:00 pm.

Have been to Anguilla numerous times. It is very laid back, quiet with not a lot of night life. There is Johnnos and the Pumphouse in Sandy Ground and that's about it. Think your sons would be bored. Would look at Barbados. More nightclubs and places to party till dawn.

Friends of ours have visited Anguilla and loved it, but when it came to a trip with their teenage sons they chose St. Martin because there was more for the boys to do (cheaper watersports, etc)

Nevis is even quieter than Anguilla. I cannot comment on the other islands.

Didn't like Anguilla that much. Very very quiet...we left early too! Nightlife happens at Sint Maarten - Dutch side. Will be great for teenagers even.

Bag Anguilla. Flat and boring. Nevis has a few nice resorts surrounded by poverty. If you take your family to St. Barts and stay in one of the beautiful villas they will be eternally grateful. Your sons will never forget the French girls either.

Not too sure about St. Barth's - we visited it once and our impression was that it was a typical place for wealthy and elderly people, who were very anxious to keep their pretty little island clean and tidy. Never saw so many signs with "passage interdit". For your sons I would advise St. Martin. We ourselves have been to Nevis and Anguilla and love both these islands, but I agree with other posters that they are probably too quiet, with too little nightlife for young people.
