Information on Anse Chastenet needed
Can anyone help us? We are travelling to Anse Chastenet for our honeymoon at the end of June. Does anybody know of any long range weather forecasting sites or has been there at that time of year. I know the temperature is fairly constant but what about the rainfall. Anybody get any idea of recent bar and food prices in the resort?
Is the water bus free between the resorts and Castries?
A lot of questions, hoping for some answers thanks in advance.
Justin.

St. Lucia is a tropical paradise. It's lush and green. The original Dr. Doolittle was filmed in Marigot Bay. This island is a rain forest you can expect frequent rain showers. They don't last long.
I've not been to this resort, but you will not be disappointed. The views from there are spectacular.
Try www.weather.com for forcasts in the Carribean. Food and drinks are resonable. Most resorts are all inclusive, possible yours is also. The hotel might be the place to ask about shuttles. The roads are winding and zig zaging. People were nice. This is an island that depends on tourism.
One last thing, Have a wonderful and memorable time!!

Justin: I stayed at a neighboring resort (Ladera) in November and we spent several afternoons on the beach at Anse Chastanet snorkeling and swimming and had a great time. We also ate several meals in their restaurant and bar on the beach, so I can attest that the food (at least at lunch) was very good. Try the rotis -- they are delicious. Lunch was under $10 U.S. per person and they had a good menu with a nice selection. They have waiters and waitresses walking up and down the beach who will take your order and bring you whatever you like, so you don't even have to move if you don't want to. The local beer, Piton, was inexpensive and very tasty, and the tropical fruit drinks were delicious. We did not take the "water bus" to Castries but I strongly doubt it's free because Castries is some distance -- Anse Chastanet is near Soufriere. While you're there be sure to eat dinner at least once at Dasheene restaurant at Ladera resort -- the most beautiful setting on the island with a view overlooking the Pitons and the Caribbean. As for the weather, the following website has lots of links to St. Lucia websites and I'm sure one of them can give you some idea of what to expect in terms of rainfall. Our experience in November was that it did rain several times during the week, but each time the rain lasted only about 10 minutes and then the sun came back out. It was gorgeous. Have a great time.
