Jennifer,<BR><BR>Are there "bad rooms" - that is, are there rooms in which there is no view or a bad view from the balcony?<BR><BR>Also, did you take any day trips/excursions that you wouls recommend? If so, did you purchase them at the resort?<BR><BR><BR>Thanks!

I would imagine that the rooms on the back side of the complexes that are on the ground floor would not be that great. Probably the 2nd or 3rd floor on the backside would be fine and all of them on the front side are fine.<BR><BR>I didn't do any of the tours as I had a friend that I went exploring with but I did hear that the Outback Jungle Safari was great! Make sure you go into Puerto Plata as well. It is a beautiful little town with a great seawalk. It is full of Victorian buildings and there are even some old ruins (not ancient, just old) that are very interesting. I loved the character that the town has and was quite surprised by the Victorian architecture.<BR>

Did you visit Punta Cana while there? What did you think of it?

No I didn't visit Punta Cana. People did say that it is quite far away from anything (that can be a plus or minus depending on what you are looking for). It is a resort area with no towns or communities near it. This is what I was told anyway.<BR>
