honeymooners.... popular attractions

We are honeymooning in early July and we are staying in the northern part of the island, right near pigeon national park. We would love to know the most popular attractions and excursions. Do we have to book them before we arrive or can we wait and do it when we get there? Are there some excursions that are just really romantic that us "lovebirds" should definetly do? Thanks for all your help!!!

I think you will be OK booking after you arrive for most excursions. Where are you staying? I would check out sunlinktours.com to get some ideas of what you might like to do and go from there. I would recommend a "land and sea tour" or hiring a taxi for the day for one of your excursions. You might also hire a taxi to the Anse La Raye Fish Fry and/or the Jump Up in Gros Islet on Friday nights. We did the ATV tour and thought that was a lot of fun too. St Lucia offers a lot of activities. Just decide what your likes are and have a blast.

Definitely, pay the $5 p/p entrance fee to Pideon National Park and hike up to Pidegon Point. Great views. We stayed at the Sandals Grande and it was a short walk from the hotel.

We booked all of our excursions at the hotel once we got there with no problem. If you have the extra $$$$ take the air tour to the Grenedines.

We did the Land and Sea tour. It will take you to the Bontanical Gardens, the drive in volcano, the Pitons and several townships. Then you board a catamaran for sailing and snorkeling.

We also did the jeep safari tour. They took us to this amazing waterfall and then to a black sand beach for swimming. We drove all over the Island and saw many of it beautiful features.

We also took the sponsored shopping tour. We went to the craft market and to a duty free type mall.

St. Lucia is so beautiful. We have pictures of our trip if your interested at:

You guys are so great!!!! Thanks for the quick reply. Do you think we should rent a car or just use taxis? We are actually staying in a villa right near the Sandels resort up by pigeon island.

We really enjoyed our honeymoon in St. Lucia - hope you do too! When I'm in a tropical location, I love being out on the water, which was one of my favorite times in St. Lucia, as I enjoyed seeing the island from the water. Snorkeling wasn't great though.

The excursions we booked offered transportation and we just used a taxi a couple of times. Looking back, I don't regret not renting a car.
