Honeymoon in August

My finance and I are getting married during labor day weekend and are torn what exactly to do. Hurricane season is that time so it is putting a thorn in our decision. I'm not to sure how Aruba would be for a HOneymoon is seems more like a normal vacation destination. Looking for some advice and suggestions please help!!!! Thanks

You could look into the Sandals resorts - they do have a hurricane policy where go forbid you get hit, they will completely replace your stay. At least it is some protection.

why not try the pacific coast of mexico? we stayed in zihuatanejo for our June honeymoon and loved it. it was not crowded, there are deluxe places to stay, and it really feels like you are in the middle of nowhere in a foreign country, while still being on the ocean. ce

THank you for your replies although I know about Sandals policy we are looking into that too. But thanks for the suggestion of Mexico I'll have to look into it. But I spoke to a Travel agent who thought it might take to long to get over there b/c I live on the east coast. I was thinking of Cabo but she said I would spend a day almost traveling. But I will look into that and thank you again

Aruba is outside the 'hurricane belt' and I have heard it is pretty nice. Research though as I have also heard there are windy parts of the island. There is a resort there (can't remember the name) that has a great honeymoon package. This is a good place to start: http://www.aruba.com/
