Honeymoon Help please....

Hello everyone,

My fiancé and I would love some suggestions.
Here's what we're thinking.

Time: End of March beginning of April 2006
7-10 days total

Weather: 80-85 F

Budget: Med to High (willing to spend some money for the right place)

Atmosphere: romantic, secluded, private, culture, fantastic restaurants, we're big foodies,no resorty honeymoon packages

Activities: No trekking or hikes
Mellow walks in town, swimming, snorkeling

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Check out Provo, Turks and Caicos. It sounds like just what you are looking for. Most hotels are condo type, also great deals on vrbo. The beaches are among the most beautiful in the world, and it is very laid back.. Congradulations!!!

Tahiti! Air Tahiti now fly direct from JFK of get to LA if you are not near NYC and fly direct from there.

My wife and I spent 11 glorious days on several of the islands. It will blow your mind, the beauy, culture and overall experiance...

Congrats on your upcoming nuptuals!!!

I'm not sure if it's possible to find a place in the Caribbean that will have all that you're looking for but there are plenty that can offer you most of what you want.

I think that Anguilla and Turks & Caicos will come close to meeting your requirements. These islands have outstanding beaches, excellent restaurants, warm weather, and a number of first class romantic places to stay. However, neither will offer you much of the town life you want and there are other islands that offer more as far as local culture is concerned.

Since you'll be going in late March or the beginning of April, you'll be there in high season and will have to pay top rates at any hotel you choose.

check out St. john in the virgin islands.
Its very private and secluded - as much of the island is in preserve. We went in late march and the snorkeling was great - saw all kinds of fish & sea turtles etc.
We also rented a car and drove all around the island to different bays and coves...and had picnics on the beach. There are local farms on the island with tons of goats - and they also have wild donkeys roaming all around the island.

We rented a villa which was very quiet - and we did a lot of cooking there (so we dont know much about the restaurants). But for a romantic trip - it is highly recommended

Anguilla is so romantic. If you wait until April 1st, there are spring rates, May 1st summer rates are even lower. Check out www.capjuluca.com
