Honeymoon help
my Fiance and I are Planning a trip to the bahamas. neither one of us have been there before and are looking for something romantic and fun.
something where we can enjoy water activities as well as land ones.
we are in our 20's so something with a night life would be nice.
we are planning on going in Jun after the wedding.
Thanx for all the help.

Congratulations! How much are you planning to spend on your trip? Are you primarily looking at the Bahamas or are you considering other places too? You mention enjoying water and land activities. Are you interested in snorkeling, hiking, sailing, kayaking, eco-tours? Lastly, are you more interested in exploring the island or relaxing at the resort? The more specific information you can provide will help others here to give you the most helpful suggestions.

Well we really don't want to spend a lot and i would like to take a few land tours but mostly stay on the beach and in the water. we want to go for 7 days.
i was looking at Aruba, Bermuda, Bahamas, and Jamaica. but i really don't know much about them.

I know Aruba and Bermuda better than the other two islands but I would basically divide them between the picturesque (Bermuda and Jamaica) and the more arid (Aruba and the Bahamas). You can find a range of accommodations on each of these islands but, in general in May, Bermuda will be the most expensive and the others considerably cheaper. All four islands have beautiful beaches, snorkeling, good restaurants, and nightlife (less so in Bermuda unless you stay in Hamilton).
Negril in Jamaica would seem the best fit with what you're looking for on your honeymoon. It has that mix of water and land activities, and a lively nightlife that you desire and a lot of moderate priced resort choices.

mina - where are you traveling from?
Direct flights are better if they are available.
If you live somewhere with lots of trees and greenery then you might like Aruba as a change, however, if you live somewhere arid you might want to contemplate Jamaica.
Bucuti Beach in Aruba is a very nice small resort that doesn't encourage children - I'd like to know if anyone has stayed in the main hotel recently and what the remodeled rooms are like - we stayed in the Tara Suites in 2004 when they were new and thought they were worth the extra money.
We stayed at Idle While in Negril in May 2005 it is also very nice small hotel with only 14 room, on the best expanse of the beach - lots of bars and restaurants within walking distance along the beach.
There is lots of info on either resorts here and I don't think anyone has posted a negative comment about either hotel.
Congratulations!
