Honeymoon at Divi Aruba

I'm staying at the Divi in July and can't decide what kind of a room to stay in. It's hard when you havn't ever been there. I've heard the Casita's are nice. Anyone stayed there???

I believe the Divi is an old hotel. I recall it's a low rise on the beach. Do you have any other options, or are you set on the Divi?

Ana

You can find lots of opinions about different rooms at the Divi at www.aruba-bb.com and www.visitaruba.com, both the bulletin boards and the trip reports.
I do not recomend this hotel at all and especially for a honeymoon. I would stay in a different resort. Pool was filthy, rude staff, mildew in bathrooms, monotonous food - we paid for all inclusive and ended up dining around almost every evening but the worse part other than the rudest front desk people we have ever encountered was the fact that you could hear everything in the casita adjoining - peeing, TV, coming and going and it was an older couple next to us - Not a honeymoon place!

I have stayed at the Divi and the Tam (next door) and I will NEVER stay there again. Please cancel your reservations.
They shuffle their customers between the two hotels so you might end up having to stay at the Tam. That is what happened to us twice.

We have been back to Aruba many times. Stay on Palm Beach. There are many hotels up there and you can walk to the casinos, shopping etc. The beach is beautiful. All inclusive is not worth it in Aruba as the food is not overly expensive and there are lots of good places to eat.

Be sure and tell the hotel you are honeymooning because I have seen specials for honeymooners.
