Any of you know approximately when STJ starts decorating for the Holiday Season? We leave Saturday.

brenandg: So happy to see you're going back already! I have heard they don't get into it until after Thanksgiving, so you may be in time. They do funny stuff like decorating "Century" plants as substitute Christmas Trees. I have to say that when I'm there in January, I haven't seen much left of the holiday decorating so I think it's short-lived anyway. Where (hotel or villa type) are you staying? I'm so glad you are going back. You've had such a tough past year or so and you really deserve as much R&R as possible. Have a wonderful time! You still have to do a trip report even if this is a repeat trip.

Thanks Tuxedocat, we are soooo looking forward to it. We love it when the islands decorate other than the traditional tree, thats what gives it such charm. We are staying at Gallow's Point again. We like the activity of Cruz Bay though most Fodorites don't. I'll do a trip report, although it may be more of a story for the trip report addicts like myself than a wealth of information!

brenandg,

Hopefully we'll run into eachother while there. My wife & I will be there Wed the 29th. Our flight gets in at 4pm, so we should be at Gallows around 6pm. We'll be in unit 9A ocean side.

Have a safe trip down, and enjoy!!

Thanks ej and the same wishes to you and all of the Fodorites. Aren't you going this week also to Antigua? Some of you travel so much, it is hard to remember where you are going next! Have a wonderful, safe trip also. There should be a lot of trip reports coming up for us addicts. Seems like a lot of folks are going on vacation soon. We like to go at this time to avoid the high season prices.

Have a great trip Brenda! We look forward to a trip report upon your return. I hope you get to JVD for Painkillers at the SDB! I'll be thinking of you in this terrible weather we have been having in the Pacific NW.

Thanks! Painkillers from the Soggy Dollar Bar are 100% in our future. One of my nurse managers is going in February, so I have to put them on the "drink board" too! Aaaahhhh, anticipation.....

Just so you know, there is a gathering planned for Sunday Dec 3rd at the Beach Bar. Meeting time is 4pm.

This will be made up of a group of people who all hang out on the USVI forum on caribbean-on-line. My wife & I definitely plan to attend....should be a great time. Hope you can make it.
