Take a look at "www.bermuda-best.com/Reefs/" to get an idea of The Reefs rooms and facilities. It is as nice as the photos. The food is excellent (a new chef last year really upgraded things) and offers a choice of formal or informal eating experiences. Their beach-side restaurant Coconuts is popular with tourists and locals alike. And the beach itself is very nice. The Reefs is also next door to a larger hotel (Sonesta) for shops/spa/large hotel activities. It is 20 minutes from the capitol of Hamilton and its upscale shopping. I had traveled to many of the Caribbean islands as part of a past occupation. Bermuda (not itself in the Caribbean) has none of the abject poverty (no shacks, begging) and as freindly people as any of the places I visited. Most of the resorts in Bermuda do not concentrate on being self-contained. The beauty, variety and people of Bermuda itself are a key part of the experience. No place is perfect but Bermuda keeps drawing us back. A large percentage of its visitors are "repeaters". Hope this helps.
