Harbour Island trip report

Five nights at HI.Restaurants we had dinner were:Romara Bay club; Rock House ;Runaway Hill; The Landing.I consider these four to be very good, but expensive.Harbour Lounge is a good choice as well. The deck bar at Romara Bay is great for a sunset view.I believe the Lucaya building at the coral sands has the larger rooms.Try Coral Sands.Com for more info. The beach chairs are old but they will do.I prefer the beach bar (Blue Bar) at the Pink Sands Hotel, which is next door to the Coral Sands. However the beach bar at the Coral Sands is not bad either. You could walk to some of the restaurants,However a few of them I would recommend renting a gulf cart.We used Johnsons rental and found them to be reliable.Oh yes ,Ma Rubys restaurant is good for conch burgers.

Can you give some info on what's new on island? I am heading down in June and can't wait, but wondered if any building is going on at Valentine's and if the dock there is up and running. Last I heard Valentine's was putting up a larger building that will be condos.

Did you get to meet Big Red and Reggie?

Oh and how was dinner at Runaway?

Sounds like you had a good time, and thanks for the trip report.

The condo construction on Valentines has not yet been completed.Seems they have a long way to go.I really didn't
noticed if the dock is up and running.
Didn't have the pleasure of meeting
Big Red nor Reggie.
Dinner at Runaway Hill is a delight.
We had the MaHi-MaHi.Great Restaurant.
The Rock House Restaurant is also superb.Keep in mind, these eatery's are expensive.Have a great time.

I called Runaway recently and found out Miss Rica is still the chef there YIPPEEEEE. I just love her bread and I order french toast everymorning and believe there is just about nothing better in the world than to sit out on the porch looking out at the amazing ocean there eating Miss Rica's french toast, life just doesn't get a whole lot better than that, well, ok it's better with the honey there,,,,,,
cheers all.

Wantsomesun,

Have a wonderful time and try to get that French toast recipe ;-) Is it better with the honey that's served, or better with the honey seated beside you ? Probably the best with both !

ENJOY !

I've already put a couple of business cards in my luggage to leave at Angela's too. In all these years I have never done that, lol. Can't wait for the cracked conch that Angela makes and the coconut bread at Arthur's. It has been several years since I have had a chance to get down so I am really looking forward to this trip next month.
