Grand Anse Beach is AMAZING, but do go beyond it as well. You can walk to my favorite beach from there (it is a HIKE, however), which is Morne Rouge, immediately south. Grand Anse's location is ideal in terms of getting to restaurants, etc., but also consider taking an island tour to get the big picture.

The Grand Beach Resort is a nice hotel, though the rooms are a little cookie-cutter, in my opinion. The location on the beach is great, and they have a cool fantasy pool. I'd been warned that the food at the restaurant is mediocre and overpriced, so I didn't try it because I have other favorites in the area (esp. Coconuts on the beach).

I agree. Try the restaurants in Grenada. There are many diverse places to dine out, and enjoy a good time. Coconut Beach Restaurant is my favourite also. It is within walking distance from the Grenada Grand Beach Resort on Grand Anse Beach just a few hundred yards north. If you do go there, try the fantastic Lobster Thermidor.

The Grand Beach Resort has a new wing with rooms that are very nice and they are 25% larger than the older rooms.
