Grand Cayamian Resort Questions
I have a few specific questions about the Grand a Caymanian Resort. What is your overall review of the resort?
I know it is not on Seven Mile Beach...how long does it take to get to Seven Mile Beach from the resort?
What is the beach like that is at the resort?
How many ocean front/view rooms does the resort have? and what is the view like from non-ocean views?
Is there anything walking distance from the resort...restaurants, shops, etc?
Do you definitely need to rent a car if you stay at this resort?
Thanks for all of your help.

My overall impressive is that you could do better. As you surmised, you can not walk to Seven Mile Beach or to any restaurants other than the on-site restaurant. You would need a car. The shuttle from the hotel runs very infrequently. The trip to Seven Mile Beach is not long, but you have to go through a golf course which has many speed bumps which might take 20 minutes. There is no sandy beach or real water entry at the Holiday Inn-- the new name of the property.
There are many properties on Seven Mile Beach which will give a better vacation experience. If you have more than 2 people in your party, then renting a condo on Seven Mile Beach is the way to go.

Since you are limited to time share properties, I would go with Plantation Village because it is on Seven Mile Beach. Morrits, Reef, Holiday Inn are on the East End. & Mile Resort is a wal to the beach.
