getting married

I am planning on being married either on St Thomas or St Croix this December. I would like to go to the island with the best combination of beaches, shopping, nightlife, hiking. Can anyone give me advice which island is better for my request? thanks!

Hello Clint,
I recommend St Thomas. It has it all. We do alot of Weddings on that island. I am a Honeymoon and Destination Wedding Specialist, I am here to help. Please email me at [email protected] and I will be more than happy to help you plan and I have lots of info in my office on Weddings in the Islands
Congrats!
Beth Knobe---Unforgettable Honeymoons

You do everyone a disservice by advertising here.
St. Thomas gives easy access to St. John and the National Park for hiking and great beaches. IMHO St Thomas beaches are calmer and less rocky than the St. Croix ones and St. Thomas is the Queen of the Caribbean for dutyfree shopping. St. John is a lovely destination but choices of resorts are limited. Caneel Bay makes a terrific place for a wedding to remember but some do rent villas since it is less expensive than the resort option with a wedding on the beach or at the villa with nice background views of the water and islands but you will not have the resort amenities. There are many on-island coordinators or you can do it yourself without much hassle if you are on a tight budget and cannot afford or don't want the services of a coordinator. Most resorts offer their own on-site person to help you with the details.
Congratulations and happy honeymooning

Not quite sure why LV2trvl would say that "dreammaker" was doing everyone a "disservice" by advertising on this forum - seemed to me that he was just being helpful! Whatever. St. Thomas would probably fit your requirements. And if you need help with the planning there are several wedding services available on island who'll find you the right officiating pastor or whatever, the right place (beach, boat, hotel etc. etc. etc.), get your license organized before you get here and generally take care of you. Check out the USVI-ON-LINE.COM site for this information. Enjoy the V.I. and have a wonderful wedding/honeymoon experience here!

We planned our own wedding without
help of a coordinator. We used the
forum on USVI. It worked out better
than what we expected. We did our
own searches. Got the florist,
officiant, villa on our own. It went
off without any probelems. Really
beautiful wedding.

I would definitely suggest St. John
to have a wedding on. So many gorgeous
beaches and the island is gorgeous.

We are still "pinching" ourselves.
