Frequent Provo Flyers Question
Hi all,
My husband and I are off to Provo April 30th to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. Just a quick question for all of those who have been...We are looking at airfare and it seems to be getting higher week after week. Any thoughts on if this trend might reverse the closer we get to April? Or, should I book it now before it gets even higher?
Right now a direct flight from Boston is about $619 including fees etc. It is about $75 less for a one-stop fare, and the going rate is about the same out of Providence.
Thanks is advance for all your expertise!

I earlier posted that I noticed the same trend on American Airlines' flights to Nevis in October. The fare from DC to Nevis has risen $150 roundtrip since late December. I think that the major reason is the rising fuel prices. It looked for a while after Hurricanes Katrina and Rita that things were improving a bit with energy prices but I see that they've started climbing again these past few weeks. Until that situation turns around, I suppose we'll have to get used to seeing mostly higher airfares.

Our flight from NY to Provo just went down twice over the weekend. So keep checking. We were able to get a non-stop for $387 pp including taxes. Last week it was $468 pp. Just keep your eyes on the different airlines. With Spirit airlines now in our area to Provo, I am sure the competition will force some good deals.

Thanks for the tips everyone! I did check flights out of NYC and they were significantly cheaper...just not sure if it is worth the drive/hassel from Boston. It is definitely an option that is on my radar though. I'm going to keep checking and see what turns up for now.

I find the fares for that time are lower if you wait until April to buy your tickets. After the third week in April travel to Provo goes way down.
But like one of the Posters said with the gas prices and with the unrest with Iran you never know
