Ferry Question for Nevis/St Kitts Experts!

Hi, we are getting ready to book our St. Kitts/Nevis trip and wanted to check this out before we booked the tickets -- will we have any problem getting a ferry from Nevis to St. Kitts on Easter Sunday? We will have a 3 p.m. flight from St. Kitts.

We were on Nevis for Easter in 2005 and if I'm not mistaken the ferries were running their normal Sunday schedule (as opposed to having extra runs as they sometimes do on certain holidays).

While it's always difficult to predict what ferry will or will not be running on any given day, the schedule I have shows ferries leaving Basseterre for Nevis at 4:00PM, 5:30PM and 6:00PM on Sunday April 8, 2007. But as I said there are never any guarantees when it comes to inter-island transportation. If the ferry is not runing on that day (which is highly unlikely) you could always arrange for a water taxi (about $125US) or hitch a ride on the Four Seasons ferry (about $90US PP), if you don't mind paying the going rate.

Thanks. I do not think that website address is correct -- it appears to be a computer company.

If you are talking about the "laytonms" site the address is correct. On the home page you'll find the link for the ferry schedule on the left hand side of the page. Once you access the schedule you plug in the dates of travel and the schedule for that particular day will appear - FYI -remember to put in the date as dd/mm/yyyy not mm/dd/yyy as that's how it's done on Nevis and St. Kitts.

Opps! That last sentance should read: "... dd/mm/yyyy not mm/dd/yyyy..."
