Ferry from Rum Point

Hi-does anyone know if the ferry from Rum Point to 7-Mile beach is running again? Thanks.

It wasn't when we were there Feb. 16th - 23rd. The beach bar was open for lunch but the main restaurant was not open for dinner.

When I was there last week it was running once a week. You get mixed stories about why. Someone said demand was low and someone said the water was too low at times since the hurricaine and it couldn't make the run...we found that many people are not very truthful about what is still not up to par because they don't want to scare tourists away.

It is not running yet and not scheduled to run until May.

Hi -- I'm A Powell, too, but did not post the last note: I personally would recommend calling Red Sail sports direct for current information about the ferry. You can google them for web and phone info. They are very upfront about how things are going.

It is scheduled to start running again in May. You can find out all the current openings and read trip reports, see current pictures, get quick answers, etc. here:
