Exuma vs Eleuthera?
Hello all, looking at booking our first trip to the Bahamas out islands - looking for a 10 day vacation, and we will have a toddler, so really just want to do one place and not have to island hop. We are looking for a two bedroom (and possibly a three bedroom if grandma comes with). Normally we are fairly adventurous people and like to get out and explore, but with the 2 year old - we will be a little less on that, and a little more on just relaxing and soaking up some sun. Probably will go next March (outside chance of this sept if things fall into place).
What we are looking for?
mostly sun and beautiful beaches with calm water for swimming.
Snorkeling is a plus (obviously would need to make sure someone stays home to watch the little one)
Scuba diving is a bonus - I have dove the Exuma's on a liveabord in the past.
Don't want some big resort (I know that is not really a thing here).
Right on the beach (don't want to drag things in the car to drive with the little one.
A pool.
Close to some restaurants and the occasional beach bar/chill out place.
We would like to do a little exploring, but don't want to have to drive in the car everytime we want to go somewhere.
From what I have seen they both have amazing beaches, exuma appears to be more compact. eleuthera is more spread out, and maybe more "adventurous" to get to places
thoughts?
recommendation on places?
thanks!
