Do we need a car?
Hi, we'll be spending a few days on Anguilla in January, staying at Cap. Should we rent a car? We like to check out other hotels and go to different restaurants? Or just taxi it? Thank you.

We rented a car and it was defintely the way to go!
Taxis can get pretty expensive, and most of the restaurants and resorts and beaches are kind of spread out.
The island is easy to find your way around and the drivers are some of the less aggressive to be found in the Caribbean. The driving is on the left, but we had no problems (except for the first time around the roundabout).
You have to buy an Anguillan driver's license, but it's not expensive and is good for the length of your trip and makes a nice souvenir.

yes, get a car. It is so much easier and cheaper.
the left hand driving may bother you at first but it is relatively easy to learn. There is not much traffic on Anguilla so I am sure you can handle the left side driving.

Definetly, rent a car. Drive on the left even when going around RoundAbouts. When approaching RoundAbouts just remember traffic on your right has the right of way. There are all types of restaurants from the very expensive haute cuisine to middle price and inexpensive. Have fun exploring!
