dive operators and restaurants

My husband I will be going to the Grand Cayman Island next week. We are certified scuba divers hoping to get a referral to a reputable dive operation on the island. In addition, we are looking for restaurant recommendations. Thank you!

If you're staying on Seven Mile Beach, be sure to spend at least one day diving the East End with Cayman Diving Lodge. It's a hike over there, but the East End diving is FANTASTIC. (It's also more advanced, i.e., deeper.) There are many operators on 7MB; drive around and check out a few before deciding.
Enjoy Safe Diving!

Can recommend Treasure Island Divers. Plus do a search, there was a long thread a week or so ago about good eats on Cayman.

We dive with Rob at Aqua Adventures. 345-916-1616. He's great and its a small operation...no cattle boats! For restaurants we love Ragazzi. The Wharf gets mixed reviews but we love it....fabulous atmosphere! Get a table by the water.

Kelly,
There are many good dive operators on the island. Try Bob Soto's -888-698-7400, Cayman Dive Lodge -800-TLC-DIVE, Red Sail Sports -877-733-7245, Don Foster's -800-833-4837, Ocean Frontiers -800-544-6576. Also, you can check out different operators at www.divecayman.ky Hope this helps!

FYI Bob Sotos, Red Sail and Don Fosters are all larger operations.....which usually means more crowded boats.

Kelly:

I have read the other posted reply and have 2 comments. 1- Red Sail Sports is the largest operator on Cayman and the most expensive. If you can avoid using them I would. 2- Bob Sotos and Don Fosters are not as large as ML thinks. They dont take out more then 8-10 people at a time. When my friend went scuba diving there where 3 people. We used Bob Soto's and they where so nice to us. There boats dont have all the bells and whistles as with Red Sail Sports, but thats where all there money goes.

There was just a few threads about Restaurants, if you search you will find them.

Have a great time
juli
