Direct flights from St. Thomas to Philadelphia?

Does anyone know of an airline that provides this? US Air just cancelled our direct flight home and we can't seem to find any other airlines that have a direct flight from STT to PHL in September. Help!

Hi, I'm from the area -- as far as I know, the USAir PHL - STT is the only direct, non-stop. You will most likely have to go through San Juan or Miami.

Spirit flies to Atlantic City, via FLL, if that helps...I am finding incredibly low fares on Spirit (from FLL), itching to book now!

Let me guess, you've got kids who won't do well with an extra step? If you have to choose between San Juan or Florida, IMO, I'd definitely go with San Juan. It's only a 25 minute flight from STT and the airport is pretty nice. Definitely less painful than the 3 and a half hour flight to Florida and then onto wherever.

Yep. You called it. We're travelling with our 2 year old and with the schedule change we'd be sitting in Charlotte airport for 2 hours during her bedtime and not get into phila until midnight. I think we have it figured out now. We're going to fly Cape Air (puddle jumper) from STT to San Juan, then grab lunch at the airport there, then take a direct flight back to phila and be in by 7. That should work much better. Thanks for all of your recommendations! Has anyone flown on Cape Air?

Yep, been there done that. Really little planes and they don't fly up very high so you see a bit more. Not a nice trip in December because it was stormy. Had some big bumps which my kid thought was funny while the grownups just white-knuckled it. Really, though, they have a good to great record. They're pretty easy to deal with. I think they have hourly flights between STT and SJU so it can be convenient for tailoring to your schedule. Good luck and have a great time.
