Hi

We ahve requested suite S and were told by by Ladera that if that delxe room was available when we checked in we would get that room. Otherwise we would get whatever deluxe room was available when we cheked in.

Hi There! Ladera was wonderful! We just go back last night. We were upgraded to a 3 bdrm Villa with a full size pool. They overbooked. We requested a dlx 1 bdrm with a heated plung pool. We stayed in A4 one night and they moved us the next day. They also gave us a $100 credit. We met quite a few people and everyone was happy with there room. The suites at the end don't have the same view as the first few. We could see the Pitons as well as the full view of the Caribbean. The suites at the end don't get a clear view of the Caribbean. No one complained that we talked to. The resort is beautiful you'll love it. We went to the Hilton as well as Anse Chastnet and were glad we chose Ladera. It's so romantic and secluded. Keep in mind, everything is very expensive! Very expensive. A plate of fruit is $10.A bottle of water at the Hilton was $6. Dinner easy $100. Cab rides anywhere $20 plus tip. I'm not sure if your interested but here is the lowdown on the tours:Rainforest - got lukewarm reviews. Volcano - we went the back way on our own the staff will tell you where to go - pretty but not worth a "tour". Piton waterfalls - cool- also do on your own. Botanical Garden - two thumbs up all around. Mourne Coubaril Estate - heard the horseback ride was really nice. If I went again I would definetly do a water tour of the coast. The water taxi ride to Anse Chastnet was great! Eat at Captain Hooks - great food , great people!Basically we lounged in our pool stark naked sipping daiquiris! Can't beat that! Have fun - any questions feel free to e-mail.

Hi sheila,
Sounds like you had a wonderful time. We are staying at ladera for 3 nights on our honeymoon. We decided to splurge on the villa with a pool. Even though you were upgraded do you think the villas are worth the extra money? Just the sound of having your own private pool to lounge around in sounds to cool to me.lol. Any information on the villas would be helpful.
Thanks,
Lynn

Hi Lynn!In my opinion it would be well worth it. We both thought it made all the difference in the world. Soooo romantic - it was great being so secluded. We literally cancelled two daytrips because we didn't want to leave the privacy of our room-My husband is a workaholic and I can honestly say I only see him on Sundays and have to share him with kids, so for us we relished the private time. It was paradise. The villa is definetly the way to go. There is an open air shower in the villas, we got a kick out of that - showering under the stars. You'll love it.
