Dazed and Confused!!!!!

My husband and I are finally planning our trip to the Caribbean!I honestly had no idea this would be so overwhelming. We are a small adventure couple snorkeling, hiking, biking, etc.I live in the panhandle of Fl.so am looking for beaches that won't dissapoint.WE are planning on flying out of Orlando to save some$$ Our budget is about 4,000.Would like some nightlife but not rowdy!!!YOu guys seem so well informed so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! We did love the islands of Hawaii.Sorry so long.THANK_YOU

I would look into:

Belize: cave tubing, hiking, ruins, great snorkeling/SCUBA, okay beaches, not sure about restaurants and nightlife

Cayman Islands: great beaches, hiking, swimming with stingrays, great snorkeling/SCUBA, great restuarnats, laid back nighlife

Aruba: Great beaches, rugged side of island good for exploring, good snorkling/SCUBA, great restaurants, more nightlife

Belize is great for outdoor adventures and offers fantastic snorkeling. Beaches aren't great except on some of the outer cayes due to the existance of a barrier reef. If you're looking for some nightlife, best place would be Ambergris caye. Otherwise it's pretty quiet.

Flgirl, Don't be overwhelmed...go to St. John! Great place for beautiful beaches, snorkling & hiking nature trails. It's fantastic. if you're feeling adventurous, stay at Concordia eco-tents. A great camping experience. Tents have solar power, private toilets & showers. Little kitchen area & spectacular views of Salt Pond Bay. It's on the peaceful, quiet side of the island out past Coral Bay. We loved it, and we're returning to St. John for the last two weeks in May this year. Can't wait! Trish.
