Couples or Sandals in Negril

I have been to 2 Sandals Resorts, but no Couples Resorts. The brochure for Couples is not very informative. Any ideas on which one to stay at, Couples or Sandals, in Negril? Pros/Cons of either? Planning trip in April/May. Thanks!

Sandals by far is the better choice.

I've stayed at Couples Negril and it is beautiful. Very clean and well-maintained. The Sandals resorts look very nice too, but Couples Negril includes complimentary shopping trips, Rick's Cafe, glass bottom boat ride, and catamaran cruise excursions. And they have free internet access so you can check your email. Their website is a little better than their brochure. I do agree the brochure isn't that informative.

We really enjoyed Sandals Negril but might want to look into the beach situation there. I have read several posts that is tool a beating from storms. Also, as of late, it has gotten bad reveiws.

we stayed at Couples Negril in october. its good, not great. we were disappointed with what we paid, and what we got. food is average, service is spotty. i would consider either Grand lido Negril or RIU tropical bay before i considered couples.

I would reccommend the Riu Tropical Bay Resort in Negril. It is next to Couples and much nicer. Also, the prices are great because it is a new resort.

I would also suggest the Riu Tropical Bay--it is right next door to Couples Negril. We just spent Christmas week there and were happy with it. Do a search here if you wish, I just posted my opinions on it last week.
