I am wondering what other islands compare to the clear waters of bermuda. I have read several comments regarding St John is it like Bermuda's?

dk-not sure yet..but will know in June.I will do a trip report.

The waters around St. John are beautiful. In the shallows of all the coves and bays with the soft white sand the water shines light blue to bluish green. Further out where the water becomes deeper quickly it's your normal dark ocean color.


If you are into snorkeling, the water is crystal clear and the coral and fish a sight to see.

Grand Caymann and Aruba have very clear waters.

Turks and Caicos, USVI... there are lots with clear waters like Bermuda. Basically the coral islands. (some others volcanic ST Lucia, etc. have darker sand so the waters are darker)

Many islands have beautiful water. I did not find anything special about Bermuda.

Jamaica, the BVIs, Harbor Island, St. Maarten, Grand Cayman; they all have great beaches and pretty water. HI also has pink sand like Bermuda.

To the OP: Where in Bermuda were you? What beach area did you like the best? This place is on our list. Your comments will be appreciated. Thanks, Larry
