Please tell us more about you and your family--every island gets families at Christmas, so your question is too vague.
Budget
tastes
where you're coming from
active or relaxing
like eating out or want convinience
water sports
other places you've been and liked or disliked and why?
I find Atlantis, Caymans and Turks and Caicos to be very family friendly.
I have taken my family to T&C the last 10 Christmas. and sometimes break away and go to other islands too. T&C and Caymans are mostly condos treated like resorts, so I find that much easier with families. Obviously I think T&C is perfect for families! (including extended that has come too) Having said that, ask 10 people, you'll get 10 different answers, so help us narrow it down for you!

Ok thanks, yes we are traveling from Memphis , budget is good, definitely prefer a villa or condo over hotel rooms. Water sports for sure, a little night life would be good , pretty beaches and water, good food but we don't need 4 star dining. Probably would eat out all dinners but have groceries for breakfast.. Unless AI We have been to Beaches Negril in Jamaica...that was fun ...and my husband and I have been to caneel bay on st John.
Have heard a lot about Atlantis but it seems huge and crowded...but maybe it's worth it?

"budget is good" ball park figure would help, don't know what that means.
In T&C, all the resorts are condos treated like hotels, and luxurious. Has the most awesome beach. Has the watersports. Not much nightlife.
Caymans ditto (although I give the edge to T&C for beaches) and they have a little more nightlife.
Atlantis is huge and crowded. It is cool. It is expensive, especially at Christmas. I personally would save it for when it costs less, same water slides, same rooms, but 1/2 the price.

Look at West Bay Club on Turks and Caicos. Great upscale condos on the best stretch of beach on Grace Bay. I stayed there in February and it was fabulous. Going back again next year.
I stayed at Beaches when my son was younger. Hated that place. So overpriced and overrated. On a VERY narrow stretch of beach.
