Caribbean Islands Cruise

Hello Everyone-

We have been to Southern/Eastern Caribbean cruise with Royal Caribbean before.
Which of the two blow is the better option, considering we've been to Cancun & some major parts of Mexico-

1. Ocho Rios, Jamaica 8:00 am 5:00 pm
George Town, Grand Cayman 8:00 am 4:00 pm
Cozumel, Mexico 10 am 6 pm

2. Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras 10:00 am 6:00 pm
Belize City, Belize 8:00 am 5:00 pm
Costa Maya, Mexico 8:00 am 5:00 pm
Cozumel, Mexico 8:00 am 5:00 pm

Also, how's cruise experience with Norewegian? We were really impressed with Royal caribbean though not much when we cruised Princess to Alaska.
Thanks in advacne,

There may be a difference between food, etc on ships belonging to the same company. I do not know, but some people say everything is better on newer ships, regardless of the company. Personally, I prefer older ships with traditional design, but there are many other factors.

We were on Norwegian Epic last Spring. The food was the best we have had on our six cruises (Princess, Celebrity, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean), the entertainment (we paid extra for Cirq) was outstanding, the staff was super friendly and the children's program was superb.

We were recently on RC's older, smaller ship, Majesty of the Seas. The food was good, but no comparison with NCL Epic. Same with entertainment, not because it was really better quality on Epic, but because shows were bigger Las Vegas style. Staff was nice on MOS, but seemed more business-like than on Epic. Lots more kids on Epic, but very well behaved.

We did not care for Ocho Rios, but liked Cozumel a lot. It may be just that the beach area we went to in Ocho Rios wasn't nice, so in Cozumel, we took a taxi to a beautiful pool/beach area. So, if you go to Ocho Rios, plan ahead to do something nice.

Which ships were you looking at?

Sorry for not responding earlier.
Yes, we are also looking at NCL Epic. We are comparing with Carnival mainly not for cruise experience but for better places to see/destinations.

Can someone pl. recommend b/w these 2 itineraries.
Thanks in advance.

Best destinations is in the eye of the beholder, we don't know your tastes, what you like to do, what you like in a destination.

All islands have something for someone, all islands have fans.

It's like asking us which state is best to visit, or which country in europe is best, without any other info.

So answers will be all over the place.

This is a job for:

Fodor's Caribbean Ports of Call. Or

Fodor's Caribbean

Both can be bought from amazon-- and both have reviews, things to do, etc, to see what appeals to you

Surely, its subjective. But were asking general opinion if anyone has been on both or either or itineraries. We are mainly looking for site-seeing & cruise experience.

I take it Epic is one ship. What is the other?

For cruise experience, you can't beat the entertainment and food on Epic.
The water park on Epic is fun if you like that sort of thing.
Epic does seem crowded in the public areas sometimes because of lay out.

We were so pleased with the cruise last year, we just decided last night to do the exact same cruise again on Epic in March.
