Don't think there is any golf in Turks. Just wonderful beaches. Leave the clubs at home, pack your fins and mask. I loved Turks!

One of the best golf courses in the caribbean is located in turks and caicos near beaches, allegro and ocean club. it is called the provo golf club and it is beautiful. about $100 per round but worth it.
100 $ round is reasonable for the Caribbean. Mandatory cart fees or caddy will be extra. Don't know Provo, but to answer your question, if it depends on how many times I plan to play while on island. Sometimes it's not worth the hassle of dragging clubs around airports & risking losing them --- those times I take my shoes but rent clubs. The better courses usually keep decent rentals. I AM a dedicated golfer, but on vacation I'm more devoted to a relaxing experience than to my game. Just my 2 ¢.
Provo is a beautiful course - played a couple years ago -- completely unexpected. Major middle east $$ invested. Bring shoes, rent clubs. charming Scot R & A club pro.
